Securing and accessibility of your data
OpenDIMS is hosted in the cloud via DigitalOcean, a leading provider of hosting solutions. Your files and data are physically located on servers in Germany and France (DigitalOcean).
SSL secure connection
All communication between you and OpenDIMS is encrypted using SSL technology. This ensures that your data cannot be intercepted during transfer. This is the same technology used by online banks and MitID, among others.
99.9% uptime guaranteed
DigitalOcean guarantees an uptime of 99.9%. However, short-term disruptions may occur due to updates and improvements to the system.
Fully automated backup
All data in OpenDIMS is continuously backed up on servers that are geographically separated. Should a crash occur, your data can be quickly restored. The backup sequence is included in your data subscription and can be viewed on the website.
Certifications
DigitalOcean is certified according to SOC 1/SSAE 16/ISAE 3402, SOC 2 and SOC 3 type II audit statements. This ensures that your data is in safe hands, always accessible and stored correctly. These certificates include, among other things, checking:
- Physical access and security
- Hardware and data security
- Logical security
- On-call procedures
- Networking and documentation
