Challenge:

One of Denmark’s leading furniture companies faced significant challenges in organizing and managing their extensive amounts of data. They had data, media materials and files scattered across different systems and departments, making it difficult for employees to find the information they needed for their daily work. This led to inefficiencies, delays and a general lack of consistency in their data management.

Solution:

To solve these challenges, the company chose to implement OpenDIMS, a Product Information Management (PIM) system known for its ability to centralize and organize data. OpenDIMS was customized to the company’s needs, including the integration of their specific wishes and requirements, which had to be programmed from scratch. This adaptability allowed the system to be tailored precisely to the furniture company’s unique requirements.

Implementation:

Surprisingly fast and hassle-free. The OpenDIMS team worked closely with the company to ensure a smooth transition to the new system. The existing data and files were easily transferred to OpenDIMS and employees were trained to use the system effectively. The new centralization of data and media materials allowed employees to find the necessary information with ease and without the previous hassles.

Systems:

The company uses many different systems that OpenDIMS had to integrate with, such as Shopify, Dandomain, Salesforce, PIM system and Navision, where data had to be retrieved from and forwarded to. For example, all products and product categories in Shopify are updated directly from OpenDIMS.
